Initials sum up seafront buildings

I read what Jane Lamb had to say about Eastbourne’s front (Herald letters, September 5) and how she viewed it as the ‘greatest asset’ and one can but agree.

But when she refers to the ‘beautiful bandstand flanked by an almost intact group of stuccoed hotel frontages’ she draws to mind that hideous great bug-like building, or should I say protuberance, that was once called the TGWU.

I would suggest that the Deliciously Light and Wizardly Perfect De Le Warr Pavilion is a hundredfold better than the Terribly Gross and Wantonly Ugly one.
