With Christmas just around the corner it’s lovely to be able to join in with others and browse many shops around town for gifts.
Sadly as I walk around early morning within the town centre, it hits me hard just to see those lonely homeless people lying in doorways.
I am fortunate to have a warm home and lovely family but I find it hard to really get excited about Christmas.
Today I felt I had to go into McDonald’s and buy tea and breakfast for two homeless guys, one in particular lying with nothing over to keep warm. Is there anything that can be done to get to the root of the problem?
I would be quite happy to pay an extra £50 a year on my council tax if it made a real difference.
