HOW pathetic can people be to complain that Union flags are ‘out of place’ flying on the Pevensey Levels (June 17).
The lions were a cheerful sight; my grandchildren looked out for them as they drove home on their way to West Ham.
Like Mr Gulzar I am also proud to be British and if national flags are proudly flying, even in these difficult economic times good luck to him and the many people who proudly ‘Fly the Flag.’
If Pevensey Parish Council really want something to complain about they should visit Beachlands, Pevensey Bay, where weeds are growing on pavements and road sides, making the estate very shabby, run down and neglected. Good luck to Mr Gulzar and best wishes to him.
