Football club’s appeal for help

FOOTBALL has had a bit of a battering recently with various players, clubs and officials in the headlines for the wrong reasons - but it’s not all like that, especially at local level where dedicated people put in a lot of effort to keep clubs going.

Next season Hailsham Town will play in Sussex Division Two after failing to meet around rating requirements.

In order to bounce back and bring the sort of success which saw 1,300 people at The Beaconsfield for an FA Vase match in 1989 back to the town, we need your help.

The club is seeking matchday assistants for Saturdays for the forthcoming season as well as volunteers to help paint the clubhouse on June 25. If you can help please ring Stuart on 07831 223874 or email

With the help of the community, the Football Club can be one the town is proud of. Hailsham deserves better than the second tier of Sussex football - let’s work together to get back where we belong, and progress as a club - and a town.
