Council as upset as the residents

I MUST correct the common misconception about the Beachcomber application as expressed in the letter from Barbara Jephcote in last week’s edition of the Seaford Gazette.

It is true sometimes the District Council goes against the wishes of Seaford residents usually from interpretation of planning law. In the case of the Beachcomber, Lewes District Council (LDC) has always fully supported the refusal of the application for this development. The planning inspectorate overturned this decision and LDC is as upset as I and the majority of Seaford residents at this decision.
