Carnival success down to determination and hard work

HAVING just returned from the Eastbourne Sunshine Carnival Parade I would like to express my thanks to the carnival team and especially to David Cooper the carnival pageant master. Without his sheer determination and hard work this event would not have got off the ground and been such a resounding success.

There were so many highlights in the parade, including Madeira Windows having returned from 1995, the superb Kingfisher Scout Band and also the Tuesday O’Hara Fund float, which sounded the loudest and had the most infectious and smiley people aboard singing and dancing to their music. So many floats to name them all.

Long may this event now continue and well done to everyone who supported and made this carnival possible.
