Cardiac changes could cost lives

Three weeks ago my wife suffered a heart attack.

I feel sure if she had been taken to Brighton or Hastings instead of Eastbourne DGH she would not have survived.

On arrival at cardiology, she was taken straight to theatre – this was all within one hour of calling the ambulance.

So, we must not lose our cardiology department at night. I feel sure that lives will be lost otherwise.

My heartfelt thanks to the ambulance crew and the staff of cardiology.
