FURTHER to Mr Rasala’s scathing letter - how cruel and insensitive. Or is it a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ diatribe?
Does he not admire the beautiful Victorian architecture, and its individuality? Would he prefer a concrete jungle?
Regarding the elderly on the seafront, does he not respect that they are entitled to rest and enjoy the lovely scenery of sea and downs? Maybe he will be elderly and join them.
We are not Cannes. People come here for rest and relaxation, cultural events, theatre, etc. Not “jet-setting:”
The harbour is more for that. I wonder how long he has lived here, and if so awful why come in the first place.
He obviously has no eye for beauty.
