Bandstand envy of all other resorts

I AM delighted Eastbourne Bandstand continues to see very large audiences with its packed calendar of concerts bringing the iconic seafront venue to life. It must be to the envy of other seaside towns and cities across the UK.

This year promises to be the best yet for the variety of concerts which are being performed over the coming weeks.

I think Eastbourne should be very proud with the only fully operational bandstand which sees a different concert being performed every day of the week during the summer.

The Friday Night tribute concerts have proved very popular, packing the venue each week with plenty of other tribute concerts to look forward to in the coming weeks.

With great foresight by operators, there are Summertime Specials every Tuesday for the children and all the family to enjoy with many favourites being featured.

Very importantly the Bandstand is providing entertainment for all ages to enjoy which I am sure they do and will in the future.

The 1812 Firework Concerts, Big Band Sounds, Traditional Afternoon Concerts, Sunday Nights of the Proms and Gilbert and Sullivan caters I think for most people.

There surely are not many tastes in music being excluded with this great variety of concerts.

There is no doubt that the Bandstand is a major attraction for Eastbourne attracting audiences from far and wide, I hope that Eastbourne Borough Council will continue to maintain and fund the bandstand to the full in the future.

I am sure that with continuing packed houses it will see a great return on its investment.

This benefits all residents who live in the town and all those who come to visit whether for a day or spending an enjoyable holiday in the town.
