Wyntercon back for 2018

Wyntercon is back in Princes Park on September 22 and 23.

Wyntercon is a not-for-profit charitable organisation which supports and encourages those from under-privileged backgrounds and helps them thrive within the creative media sector and be part of their local community.

The event has a number of activities and workshops and will be suitable for all the family. There will be wand workshops, Jedi-style fight school sessions, a circus skills zone, circus performances, potion creating, face painting, game zones and lots more.

All the activities are included in the price of the entry ticket.

Each workshop does have a paid upgrade option to make a larger item but the basic workshop is included.

Organisers hope this event is going to be the biggest yet, after last year’s Wyntercon proved very popular.

Andy Kybett, founder and trustee of Wyntercon, said, “Last year, there was a record turnout at Princes Park to mark its fourth edition.

“Nearly 3,500 people attended the event alongside a record 91 traders and exhibitors.

“We had board and card games zones, virtual reality, dinosaurs, Steampunk and workshop zones plus one of the largest cosplay competitions in the UK.”

Everything is held undercover in a huge circus-style big top.

Andy added, “We hope to see you in September.”
