Woman taken to hospital after Eastbourne McDonald's crash

A woman was taken to hospital yesterday afternoon (April 6) after a car accident at the McDonald's Drive Thru in Eastbourne.

Ambulance crews were called to the restaurant on Lottbridge Drove at around 1.50pm after a silver hatchback hit a bollard.

Witnesses say the car, which was displaying learner plates, appeared to have entered the wrong side of the Drive Thru before mounting the pavement and hitting a bollard.

A woman suffering from knee pains was treated by paramedics at the scene before she was taken to Eastbourne DGH for further treatment.
