Woman taken to hospital after Eastbourne crash

A woman is in a serious condition after being hit by a car in Eastbourne on Saturday (March 5).

The woman, a 21-year-old, was struck by a silver Audi A6 on Kings Drive, at the junction with Tutts Barn Lane at around 5.45pm.

She suffered head and leg injuries and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital where she remains in a serious but not life threatening condition.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact police on [email protected] quoting Operation Silwood.
