A 91-year-old woman was rushed to hospital after being taken poorly at an Eastbourne service station at lunchtime (Wednesday).
Police officers who had called in at the BP Garage and M&S on Eastbourne Road, Willingdon, found customers and staff trying to revive the woman who had suffered breathing problems.
Officers gave CPR until paramedics arrived and the woman was taken to hospital.
No further details have been released by police.
