Woman punched and robbed in Eastbourne town centre attack

A woman was punched in the face by a robber who took her phone and cash in a town centre attack.

Police say the man attacked the 20-year-old woman at about 2.30pm on November 6 in Hyde Gardens. She had been sitting on a wall outside a firm of solicitors when the attacker jumped out of a blue Vauxhall Zafira, punched her in the face then stole her belongings – say police.

Officers say the woman has also reported that the same man had approached her at 6pm on October 29 while she was outside Marks and Spencer in Terminus Road.
