Woman charged with drink driving twice in two days - in Seaford and Eastbourne


A woman is to appear in court after she was arrested for drink-driving twice in two days.

Charlene Palmer, 33, was charged with drink-driving on June 2 after she was stopped and arrested in Sutton Park Road, Seaford, at 11.55am that day.

Yesterday (Tuesday, June 3) Palmer, of Saltdean Vale, Saltdean, was arrested in Golden Jubilee Way, Eastbourne, at 2.20pm.

She was again charged with drink-driving and was remanded in custody to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesda, June 4).

A total of 11 different motorists have been charged in the first three days of Operation Dragonfly, Sussex Police’s month-long campaign to tackle drink and drug-driving across the county.
