Witness appeal following house burglary in East Dean


Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak with following a burglary from a house in The Close, East Dean on Saturday (September 26).

Sometime between 11.30am and 3.30pm, entry was gained through an open upstairs window around the back of the property. A number of electrical items including three tablets, a mobile phone and various leads were taken.

The suspect has been described as a white man, in his early forties, about 5’ 10” tall with shaved hair. He was wearing thick rimmed glasses, blue jeans, a grey jumper with a beige hooded trench coat and black gloves.

Detective Constable Costin Bonell said: “We would like to speak with the man pictured and anyone else who may have seen something suspicious during the day.

“Witnesses can email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting reference 0951 of 26/09.
