A DISABILITY roadshow is being held in Eastbourne later this month.
Eastbourne Borough Council is working with Eastbourne’s Disability Involvement Group to help organise the Disability RoadShow, an exhibition of goods, services and facilities for disabled people in Eastbourne to be held on Thursday, September 15.
The council is also a major sponsor of the exhibition which has been given a brand new name but will still incorporate Scooterbility, providing advice and guidance on responsible mobility vehicle usage and the opportunity to try out mobility scooters firsthand with expert tuition.
Councillor Janet Coles, the council’s disability champion said, “This year’s exhibition is proving to be a popular draw with more than twenty-five exhibitors already signed up.
“I know, from speaking with disabled people, that to have all these service providers in one place will be extremely useful and worthwhile.
“I hope that many people whether they are disabled or not, will come along and see what is on offer and perhaps share a cup of tea with us too.”
The Disability RoadShow is taking place on Thursday, September 15, from 10.30am until 2pm, at the Devonshire Halls situated behind the Winter Garden, and accessed via the Towner car park.
There is accessible parking in the Towner car park.
