PEOPLE can whet their whistle and raise funds for charity at the same time at a wine tasting event next month.
The fundraiser, which takes place on Friday, April 13, at East Dean Village Hall, will be in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Tina Woodley-Roberts has joined up with a friend to stage a series of charity events before they head off to Mount Kilimanjaro in July.
Mrs Woodley-Roberts, who lives in Michel Dene Road, is hoping to raise as much cash as possible after her neighbour Jane Delaney died from the disease in October last year.
The forthcoming event’s theme is ‘Women in Wine’ with the tasting being entirely made by women around the world. If anyone orders wines from the tasting, then Cooden Cellars will contribute 10 per cent of their order value to the Pancreatic Cancer appeal. For more information call 423516.
