Wealden District Council’s popular Coffee, Cakes and Computers events are back.
The digital skills event returns, this time in Polegate.
This free event is for anyone interested in developing their computer skills or wanting help to get online. It is being held between 2.30pm and 4.30pm at Polegate Community Centre, Windsor Way.
Councillor Nick Collinson said, “I highly recommend that anyone who has any questions or concerns about using computers and getting online or wants information or to talk about healthy living, employability and volunteering comes along to Polegate on July 4.”
“There’s no need to book, just drop in.
“If a friend or family member would benefit, tell them about it too.
“Experts will be on hand to offer advice and answer your questions on using or making the most of computers – it’s much easier than you think.
“If you’ve got a laptop or tablet that you’d like to bring along, please do.
“If you’ve not then don’t worry – there will be some tablets available to use on the day.”
As well as advice on computers and the internet there will also be displays from a variety of local organisations offering information on volunteering, employability, health and wellbeing. There’s also free hot drinks and slices of cake.
Attendees at the previous Coffee, Cakes, Computers and a Whole Lot More event described it as ‘very informative’ and helped to build their confidence to use a computer.
