Age Concern Eastbourne organises a number of walks during the week as part of their “Walking for Wellness” progreamme.
On a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday morning, you can enjoy an invigorating short walk of under a mile along the seafront from the Lifeboat Museum to the Pier.
The group meets at the Lifeboat Museum (opposite Carlisle Road) on Mondays at 10am, except on Bank Holidays.
A 45 minute walk covering 1.5 miles takes place at Hampden Park on Wednesdays, meeting at the Lakeside Tea Chalet at 10am.
Or if you are feeling a little bolder why not try a three mile circular walk from Sovereign Harbour to the Sovereign Centre. The group meet outside Bright Ideas in Sovereign Harbour on Thursdays at 10am.
Each walk finishes at a cafe´ and is a fantastic way to find out about the health benefits of walking, meeting new friends and taking in the uplifting scenery. Please remember to wear comfortable shoes, dress appropriately for the weather and bring some water. If you are worried about your health, please make sure you check with your doctor before increasing your level of activity.
