THE POPULAR Vulcan bomber will be flying at Airbourne next month (August 9-12).
The Vulcan will be headlining a line-up of fast jets and historic aircraft at the free four-day festival.
The Cold War aircraft is appearing at Airbourne for the first time.
Airbourne fans can also look forward to the return of some favourites from past years including Europe’s only airworthy B17 Flying Fortress, affectionately known as ‘Sally B’ from the film Memphis Belle, and the return of the impressive Chinook display.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Neil Stanley said, “We are so delighted the Vulcan is back in the skies again, it is an amazing aircraft and with its deep rumble and imposing shape, it’s like nothing we have ever seen here in Eastbourne before.”
