The gardeners of Pevensey have received trophies in the annual Village in Bloom competition.
Organiser Shirley Clark said, “There were some new entries this year but the number of entries is still very disappointing.
“However, the standard was very high with only one point separating the first three places for the Best Front Garden.”
The winner was Sue Harris, Mountney Drive Pevensey Bay.
Second was Tina Fennimore, Westham Drive, Pevensey Bay and third was Jim O’Brien, Innings Drive, Pevensey Bay.
Winner of the Best Hanging Baskets was Peter Cherry, Coast Road. Second was Jim O’Brien, Innings Drive, Pevensey Bay and third was Sue Davis, Eastbourne Road, Pevensey Bay. Pevensey Parish Council, The Bay Hotel and third the Castle Inn all took home trophies.
