Town Hall bosses have reassured voters in Eastbourne that everything is being done to prevent fraud in the aftermath of thousands of blank ballot papers going missing when a delivery van was stolen.
More than 200,000 papers are having to be reprinted in new colours after the original ones disappeared when a van was targeted by thieves on Tuesday night as the papers were due to be delivered to Eastbourne ahead of next Thursday’s parliamentary and borough elections.
