VIDEO: Hampden Park residents’ campaign for double yellow lines

Residents in Hampden Park are continuing with their campaign to see double yellow lines introduced on two roads which they say motorists are parking on dangerously.

People living in Firwood Close and Brassey Avenue have been calling on East Sussex County Council to place the restrictions on the corner of the roads. Campaigners say the roads are chockablock full of cars and that drivers have parked on pavements, blocked driveways and that on one occasion an ambulance was unable to get through.

An East Sussex County Council spokesman said they would be fully investigating the issues as part of an ongoing review into parking in Eastbourne.
