Homes were damaged after lightning struck seven properties in Eastbourne in the early hours of this morning.
Two people were also hurt after the strike in Schofield Way, Langney Point, shortly before 3am.
Chimneys and roofs were damaged at properties in the cul-de-sac off Ramsay Way.
Fire chief Richard Fowler spoke to the Herald at the scene of the incident this afternoon.
