Update: Woman assaulted in Old Town

Police have released further details after a woman was assaulted by a man in Old Town last week.

Sussex Police said officers were called by the woman who said she was assaulted by an unknown man as she walked around Longland Rec in Longland Road on Sunday July 17 at 9.30pm.

The man approached her from behind, put his hand on the back of her head and pushed her face into a tree.

She said she punched him in the face and kicked him and then ran home.

The man is white, 6’, with pale skin and a spotty face with short dark slicked back hair and aged in his late 20s to early 30s.
