A road has been partially blocked after a collision on the seafront this afternoon (Thursday).
Police and two ambulances were called to the incident involving two cars outside Treasure Island on the promenade around 12.45pm.
An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) spokesman confirmed a crew from Eastbourne was also called to the scene to help a trapped person.
The ESFRS spokesman said the crew cut free a single patient from a Mercedes car, and gave them first aid before they were taken in to the care of the ambulance service for further treatment.
According to a spokesperson from South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), three patients were taken to hospital following the incident.
A female passenger, approximately in her 60s, was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with suspected chest injuries.
A man and woman, both approximately in their 60s, were taken with minor injuries to Eastbourne DGH, the spokesperson said.
