UPDATE: Five fire engines at the scene of Seaford house fire

Firefighters remain at the scene of fire in Seaford, damping down and cutting away to ensure the fire doesn’t reignite.

Crews were called out at 3.33pm today (June 17), to reports of a house on fire on Guardswell Place.

The first floor and the roof space were alight.

Fire engines from Seaford, Newhaven, Roedean and Eastbourne along with Command Support Unit and a number of officers were sent to the scene.

Six breathing apparatus were used during the operation.

There are no reports of injuries.

A fire investigation will take place.
