Sussex evening traffic report: Van stuck in ditch on A27

In East Sussex, the A27 was briefly blocked due to a van becoming stuck in a ditch. It reportedly took 20 minutes to recover the vehicle.

Queuing traffic reportedly remains on A27 Polegate Bypass both ways between Brown Jack Avenue and A22 Polegate Road. Delays are said to building in the construction area, due to lane restrictions for long term carriageway works.

Traffic sources say there is very slow traffic on A259 Seaside both ways at A2290 Lottbridge Drove and also on B2123 Falmer Road southbound at Warren Road. Further delays are said to be building on Warren Road heading towards Woodingdean.

A27 Chichester Road is reportedly partly blocked due to a three-vehicle accident around the A284 Arundel-Bypass. Queuing traffic has been reported eastbound.

Very slow traffic has also been reported on A27 Chichester Bypass westbound at A259 (Bognor Bridge Roundabout). Further delays are said to be building on A259 Bognor Road.

In East Grinstead, there is very slow traffic on A22 Station Road both ways from A264 Copthorne Road to Park Road.
