Major road out of Eastbourne to be closed for overnight works

Eastbourne motorists could be affected by the closure of a major route in and out of the town this week.

The A27 eastbound between the A277 and the junction with the A26 south, near Lewes and Beddingham, will be closed overnight between Tuesday (April 21) and Saturday (April 25) from 8pm to 6am.

Highways England, which is carrying out the carriageway reconstruction and repair works, said motorists can ‘expect disruption every day’.
