A27 partly blocked near Polegate after collision involving motorbike
The A27 has been partially blocked near Polegate after a collision involving a car and a motorbike.
Traffic reports say the incident has happened on the eastbound carriageway of the A27 Polegate bypass between the Cop Hall roundabout and the Golden Jubilee roundabout.
The collision is affecting traffic travelling between Pevensey and Polegate.
The vehicles have now been moved off the road at the Golden Jubilee roundabout but delays remain in both direction.
On Wednesday, there were also delays in Polegate after two cars were involved in a collision on the Cop Hall roundabout.
Police were called to the incident involving a red Volkswagen and a blue Audi at about 6.02pm.
The Audi driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, police said.
The Volkswagen driver – a 46-year-old man from Eastbourne – was uninjured.
He was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and drug-driving, and remains in custody at this stage, confirmed police.
Police stood down from the scene as of 6.45pm.
