Town's charities benefit from annual Win a Car

Forty eight charities received an early New Year boost to their coffers when they were presented with money raised from the Eastbourne Arndale Centre’s annual Win A Car event.

Arndale Centre manager Bill Plumridge presented cheques to each of the charities who sold £1 tickets during the event that was held in the run up to Christmas.

He said, “I would like to thank everyone who bought tickets for Win A Car and helped raise so much money for these 48 charities who do so much fantastic work in our local community.”

Pictured are Chris and Ursula Downton of the charity Children with Cancer that raised £1,251.

This year’s Win A Car raised a total of £20,200 for charities.
