VisitEastbourne will celebrate English Tourism Week this week.
The annual tourism celebration, which started on March 5 and will end March 13, includes a range of activities including a quiz about Eastbourne and offers for theatres, galleries and vineyard tours.
Cllr Margaret Bannister, Eastbourne Borough Council lead cabinet member for culture, tourism and enterprise, said, “English Tourism Week allows us to join the rest of the country in celebrating what a fantastic place, rich in culture and heritage, England is. We specifically want to celebrate Eastbourne and thank the millions of visitors who chose to holiday here every year, which is why we have worked with our partners to bring some great offers which can be used during English Tourism Week and further into the summer. The Eastbourne quiz also adds an element of fun, which we always seek to promote in this great seaside holiday destination.”
Eastbourne Theatres have an exclusive offer to receive £5 off top price tickets for ‘Shadowlands’, playing at the Devonshire Park Theatre March 7 and 10, by quoting ‘English tourism’ when booking. The Towner is offering an opportunity to go behind the scenes and discover more of the gallery’s extensive collection, from Victorian narrative paintings to recent acquisitions by contemporary artists, and Eastbourne’s very own Eric Ravilious.
