Firefighters were called to Sovereign Harbour this morning (Monday, July 27) after a toddler became locked in a house.

The child’s mother had gone outside the building in Qubec Close, but the door closed and locked behind her.

Fire crews from Eastbourne were quickly on the scene and were able to let the concerned mum back inside within just a few minutes.

The two-year-old was unhurt during the incident.
