A 19-year-old apprentice has successfully completed her three-year specialised chef training at Eastbourne’s Grand Hotel.

Amy Dahlstrom has become the latest success story to come out of the kitchens at five star hotel on the town’s seafront.

The programme is organised in conjunction with Bournemouth and Poole College and the Royal Academy Of Culinary Arts.

Twenty-four students started the course but Amy, originally from Bournemouth, was one of only 14 to complete this latest round of training.

Amy can now boast NVQ Levels two and three in Professional Cooking, ABC Pastry Level Three and CIEH Levels two and three in food safety in catering.

She is also the proud owner of a Royal Academy of Culinary Arts Diploma in Professional Cooking.

The Grand has been involved with the scheme for more than 16 years. The next apprentice is due to begin their training in January 2016.
