Eastbourne Division’s Friends of Guiding held a World Thinking coffee morning earlier this month.

World Thinking Day is a day of friendship, advocacy and fundraising for 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world.

On this occasion, the Friends of Guiding welcomed two members of Downs District Senior Section who had been on a trip to Romania with other senior section members from the county, who told the meeting about what adventures they had taking 17 Romanian children aged between seven and 16 years on a week long camp there.

During the day Division Commissioner Rosemary Dines presented Ruth Fisher with a Thanks Badge and a Guiding Rose Bowl for her services to Eastbourne Division and for her work with Eastbourne’s Guide HQ.
