Thieves steal 17 fire extinguishers from Seaford building site

Police are appealing for information following the theft of ire Extinguishers from a building site in Dane Road, Seaford.

A total of 17 brand new fire extinguishers were stolen from the site of the Old Beachcomber pub which is being redeveloped into flats sometime between 4.30pm on June 28 and 8.40pm on July 4.

The extinguishers, which are valued at £80 each, are all red and consist of nine power ones and eight Chubb water-filled ones.

PC Ali Batchelor said, “This is quite an unusual theft and we are asking anyone with any information to contact us.

“This items are quite distinctive and if anyone is offered a cheap fire extinguisher I would urge them to let us know.”
