Teenager denies Croxton stabbing

A teenager has denied murdering Hailsham stab victim Darren Croxton.

The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of stabbing the Hailsham dad on 22 January in a fight in Bramble Drive.

On Friday the youth appeared at Lewes Crown Court where he entered a plea of not guilty plea.

He will next appear at the court on June 7.

Crowds mourned his death at a Hellingly Church and now hundreds of people have joined a Facebook group called Against Knife Crime to raise awareness in Darren’s memory.

They have also planned a peaceful march from midday at Eastbourne Pier on April 9.
