A HAILSHAM musician made it through to the south east finals of Live and Unsigned, one of the biggest music competitions.
Jack Watts was up against some of the most talented bands and artists in the country in the finals in Portsmouth last weekend.
Although he didn’t get through to the next stage of the competition, Jack said it was a great experience.
“I feel so lucky to have reached the Southern England finals of Live and Unsigned, as there is so much talent out there just waiting to be given the chance in a competition such as this,” said Jack.
“It’s such a difficult industry to get into. My influence in music started at a very early age from my dad, who would be constantly playing great music from such artists like John Lennon, Ray Charles, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan.
“These people became my idols and main influences almost subconsciously, but inspiration is a fundamental factor of which way you go about reaching your goals in life and to be inspired by such artists is why I’m so determined to make a living out of my love for music.”
