Successful Towner lectures set to open to the public

THE FRIENDS of the Towner are opening up their very successful lectures in the Towner Gallery to the public as well as members.

On September 21 the gallery will present a lecture on their exhibition of Harold Mockford and give the students a special tour.

On October 19 Bryan Davies will lecture on the life and work of Degas, on November 23 Elizabeth Muir-Lewis will talk about Schubert and his songs, with illustrated examples, and in part two on December 14, will talk about Schubert’s great song cycle Die Schone Mullerin. Tea will be available, and tickets cost £10 for public and £8 for members. Tickets available from Philip Anson on 411906.
