Hundreds of students shopped until they dropped when the Arndale Centre opened its doors for a one night exclusive event.
More than 80 per cent of stores in the centre took part in the night including Topshop, Primark, Dorothy Perkins, Animal, Next and Burtons.
Around 1,500 students from Sussex Downs College and the University of Brighton queued outside the doors of the centre for the event which ran from 6.30pm until 9pm giving everyone automatic entry into a prize draw to win an iPad mini.
There were free giveaways from Red Bull throughout the night and winners of a Sainsbury’s survival bag announced every half hour.
Students dressed up in fun accessories for free photos from Flashback Old Style photography and then got the chance to take their memories home on a memory stick.
Arndale Centre manager Bill Plumridge said, “It was the second year we held the student shopping night and it was a great success.
“It was terrific to give the town’s growing student population the chance to have their own shopping night with some great offers at the start of a new term.”
