Schools across Eastbourne are closing today as part of the national strike against pensions.
Today’s Gazette has two pages on the strikes, including reaction from the town’s MP and a host of union officials.
But, for parents wanting to know whether their children are expected at school or not, we have compiled the following list.
Schools which are partly closed:
Cavendish School, partly closed. Students will be able to come into school for supervised self study only.
St Richard’s Catholic College, Bexhill partly closed. Year 11 pupils are expected to attend to complete mock papers as timetabled for that day.
Willingdon Community School, partly closed. Year 11s wishing to come in to school to use the computer network to support learning and revision for mock exams, may do so.
Hellingly Community Primary, year two, three, four, five and six are open.
