Stride out or just a gentle stroll with Walk Fest

Walkers of all ages and abilities can take part in the Eastbourne and Lewes Walk Fest which continues until September 30 with a wide variety of superb strolls, most of which are free.

From dog walks and ale trail, to unlocking history and exploring secret gems, you can explore by foot with knowledgeable guides and challenge themselves with easy ambles or adventurous hikes.

Organised by Eastbourne Borough and Lewes District Councils and supported by the Eastbourne Downland Group, walkers have been discovering historic twittens, graveyards and the geology of building stones in Lewes, as well as the ancient Cinque Port of Seaford.In Eastbourne, you can tackle the promenade event or stride out to the Downland, while a self-guided Coffee and Culture walk links Eastbourne’s galleries and market. For those looking for a challenge, there is a a range of Nordic health walks. All walks are listed in the festival brochure or website.
