Free courses including Tai Chi, creative writing and IT for beginners are available for adults in Eastbourne and Wealden.

The Street Learning courses, which are run by Eastbourne Homes, Wealden District Council,Places for People, Mears and Sussex Downs College, start on January 16 and run through to March.

The classes are completely free of charge are held at church halls, community centres and leisure centres across the area.

The aim is to reduce financial and social exclusion and give people the chance to receive free training.

The retro cooking course will be held at the Archery Youth Club is Seaside Road on Tuesday mornings throughout March.

There is also a course for healthy living, budgeting and how to trace your family history.
