Strangulation fear prompts Buzz Lightyear costumes recall

Supermarket chain Asda has recalled a children's Buzz Lightyear costume after a labelling error sparked fears it could present a strangulation risk.

The Disney Buzz Lightyear Sound Effect Costumes do not carry the appropriate hazard warning label on the product.

This outfit is not suitable for children under 36 months due to the potential of the attached cord on the wings presenting a strangulation hazard.

Anyone who has bought one of the costumes is asked to return it to their nearest Asda store for a full refund. No proof of purchase is necessary.
