Stone Cross, Westham and Hankham

British Legion: The Westham, Pevensey And Stone Cross Branch of the Royal British Legion have once again had a very successful Coffee Morning. It was held in Westham Village Hall on Friday November 5 and the event raised the sum of £1313.07 all of which will go to the Poppy Appeal. The feeling amongst Branch officials that this amount is a record for the event. The Branch wishes to thank all those who attended: also to all the kind generous people who donated prizes for the raffle and of course all those who baked and donated such a variety of cakes. The gigantic Christmas Hamper was won by the Branch Chairman, Mr Tom Drummond, who incidentally, bought his winning ticket at the Village Pop-In. And last but by no means least, the wonderful hard working team of branch members: the Branch couldn't do without them. If there is anybody who wishes to join the Branch, please contact their Secretary, Julie Pyecroft on 01323 764641, who will be pleased to provide any information you might require.
