Dance night: There will be an evening of Ballroom and Jive on Friday December 2 in St Luke's Parish Centre, Stone Cross from 8 to 11 pm. Music will suit all dancers and includes Ballroom, Latin, Jive, Argentine and Ballroom Tangp, Le-roc, Modern Jive, Swing and some Sequence. Musical evening: There will be a concert on the evening of Saturday December 3 in St Mary’s Church, Westham starting at 7.30 pm (doors open at 7 pm). The performers will be Michael Powell (professional singer) and Sue Davies who will be presenting a varied programme.

Cost £6 to include mulled wine and light buffet: tickets will be available at the door or by phoning Sue Davies on 01323 767193.

ST LUKE’S CHURCH: Stone Cross will be holding a Christmas Fair on Saturday December 3 from 10 am to 12 noon. There will be lots of stalls including Christmas Cakes, cards, tombolas and wrapping paper. Refreshments will be available. There will be an opportunity to meet Father Christmas in his Grotto. All are welcome.

THE ANNUALPANTOMINE: Performed by the Haven Players will be George and the Dragon, which will be held in Stone Cross Memorial |Hall during the period January 21 to January 28 , excluding January 23 to 25. There will be matinee performances (starting at 2.30 pm) on January 21, 22, and 28, with evening performances on all dates shown, starting at 7.30 pm. Tickets may be booked on line at www.havenplayers.com or by ringing the Box Office on 01323 767816.

THE ROTARY CLUBS OF Eastbourne: will once again be organising a Tree of Light in memory of loved ones at Christmas. The Tree will be sited outside the Congress Theatre and the dedication of the tree will be on Sunday December 11 at 4 pm. Should you wish to dedicate a light in memory of a loved one or in honour of a friend or colleague, please go to www.eastbournetreeoflight.co.uk Should you wish to attend the Dedication Service of 11 December, there will be the opportunity you to tie a white ribbon onto the tree. The names of those you wish to remember will be entered in a Book of Remembrance which is located in Eastbourne Library or on line at the above No payment is required from you but if you wish to support the Tree of Light but should you wish to make a voluntary donation this will enable the charities supported by Rotary to continue their valuable work.
