Stone Cross, Westham and Hankham

PEVENSEY, Westham and Stone Cross Branch of the Royal British Legion: The local branch of the Royal British Legion works hard raising funds for the Legion which is the UK's leading Service charity. Practical care, advice and support are provided to serving members of the Armed Forces, and to veterans of all ages and their families. On Saturday, April 15, they will be holding their annual St George's Day Coffee morning, an event which has proved very popular and successful. The venue is St Wilfrid's Hall, Pevensey Bay from 10.00am to 12noon and there will be stalls of books, toys, cakes, bric-a-brac always well stocked by our dedicated band of volunteer workers. There will be several raffles: the big one will offer a great range of delightful prizes, another will be for a hamper of delicious delicacies and another for a bottle of whisky. All well-worth trying for. And while you're there you can have a go on the tombola and enjoy some refreshments. Come early to pick up a bargain, have a good time and do your bit for those who have done so much for you.
