David Hasselhoff, legendary star of Baywatch and Knight Rider, is coming to the Congress Theatre on November 14 (7.30pm) for a celebration of tunes from the 80s and 90s in a brand new musical extravaganza – Last Night A DJ Saved My Life.
The Hoff’s show, a coming-of-age tale of love, laughter and music, is from the producers of Boogie Nights and Dreamboats and Petticoats.
The musical is packed with favourite dance hits from the 80s and 90s including Papa Don’t Preach, You Can’t Touch This, Karma Chameleon, Tainted Love, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Never Gonna Give You Up and many more.
Hard-partying DJ and nightclub owner Ross, played by Hasselhoff, is ready to enjoy another summer season in the clubbing capital of the world, Ibiza; but then his teenage daughter arrives and suddenly life becomes very different. It’s a case of ‘Do as I say, not as I did!’
Ross is trying to keep up with the scene, but the 80s are out and a new era in clubbing has begun.
With his new younger girlfriend, played by Kim Tiddy (The Bill and Hollyoaks) and the arrival of his wild child teenage daughter – Stephanie Webber (semi-finalist in The Voice) and her interest in holiday rep Rik played by Shane Ritchie Jnr – just what could possibly go wrong?!
