The Hailsham Old Pavilion Society (HOPS) held its annual soup and pud lunch at the Charles Hunt Centre in Hailsham on February 16.
This event has gained in popularity over the years and was once again a complete sell out. People were queuing as the doors opened to ensure they did not miss out.
The HOPS committee served up a variety of delicious homemade soups and fresh bread followed by some spectacular and tasty puddings. Everyone enjoyed the food being provided and there were plenty of people taking up the opportunity for seconds.
The event raised more than £400, which will all go to the upkeep of the Hailsham Old Pavilion. There are some large works that are required soon, including the redecoration of the front of the building to ensure it is kept looking prime.
Tom Chapman on behalf of HOPS would like to thank the committee members and the volunteer helpers who gave up their Saturday morning to help at the event and the others who prepared some of the soups and puds.
